Calling all budding Trashionistas...

WrimoThink you can do better than the majority of chick lit writers out there? Now's your chance. November is National Novel Writing Month - NaNoWriMo for short - and the challenge is to bash out 50,000 words before the end of the month. Since I spend so much of my time criticising those who've already been published, I decided to give this a whirl and see just how terrible my offering turns out, and I challenge all you to do the same! It'll mean writing around 2000 words a day - give or take - and at the end if you think yours is any good, send it in to us and we promise to give you a full-on Trashionista review! If you're lucky (and I'm not too embarrassed) I might post mine for you lot to review too.

I tried setting wordcount goals like that when I wrote my book, but I found that a much better way to approach your project is by ideas. My book is about politics, so I would write issue to issue. This idea could be easily translated into fiction; you could write situation to situation, mood to mood, or event to event.
