YAY OR NAY WEDNESDAY

Prideand Last week you almost all voted Yay for "The Undomesticated Godess" by Sophie Kinsella. I wonder what you'll think of this week's?

I've decided to send you back to school this week, and to a book many of us faced at some point on the curriculum - Jane Austen's "Pride and Predjudice". Did this tale of love and society whisk you away to a time long gone, or did it leave you waiting for the bell to ring? You know the drill, just comment below and tell us Yay or Nay, and Why?

[It's Yay or Nay across the Shiny blogs today, so don't forget to vote at Shiny Shiny Bridalwave, Catwalk Queen, The Bag Lady and Shoewawa, too!]

I loved this book! The written thoughts are so real and Austen cught the human confusion just right, as well as the common misunderstanding.

  • Just followed that link - for anyone wanting it it should be http://www.abc.net.au/myfavouritebook/top10/100.htm

I think Austen should have pipped it too, but then maybe its because we&#39re women?

  • Yay, Yay, Yay, Yay, YAY. And if you need proof, check out its spot on the Australia&#39s "Your Favourite Book" list http://www.abc.net.au/myfavouritebook/top10/100.htm. Trumped only by the book that allows males to think it&#39s cool to be short and speak in tongues, Austen reigns supreme.

  • Do I even need to say? A hundred times yay! How you can be a chicklit fan and NOT like Austen is beyond me. In fact how you can be a WOMAN and not like Austen is beyond me...

  • YAY!!!!

Because I&#39m a sucker for a good romance.
