Blogger Dooce forced to produce a book

Dooce is a huge popular American blogger, and I've written before about bloggers turned authors on the site- so the idea of a blook by Dooce was a mouth-watering prospect to me and thousands of Dooce fans. But it's not going to happen- or at least, not quite as planned... She'd signed up to produce a book for publishers Kensington- then apparently changed her mind. Instead of letting it go, Kensington took her to court to compel her to produce a book for them (and not just a notebook with 'I hate Kensington' copied 100 times)- and they won. Dooce (aka Heather Armstrong) will now be editing an anthology for the publishers- I'm sure that will be great fun on both sides, with no hard feelings!  How about The Awkward Anthology for a title?

  • just an observation

It&#39s being released in April "Things I learned about my father: In Therapy: Essays" edited by dipshit herself and I imagine one of the "essays" is written by her???

The picture on the front of the book implies an "absent" father.

She badmouths her daughter on her site for money. Why not take the opportunity to badmouth her father for Kensington. She never says anything positive about her father but she calls her mother "perfect". Her mother must give her money. Isn&#39t that the root of everything she does?

  • I disagree- I think it&#39s nasty, jealous and mean-spirited, and shows no compassion for Dooce&#39s horrible mental health experiences, which I for one relate to. I don&#39t see the point in writing mean parodies, I&#39m afraid. x
