MOVIE NEWS: Shopaholic!
Is it really true? Well, yes, apparently it is. According to Coming Soon:
P.J. Hogan (Peter Pan, My Best Friend's Wedding) will direct Confessions of a Shopaholic, an adaptation of the bestselling novel by Sophie Kinsella. Jerry Bruckheimer will produce.
Shooting begins this November in New York. [via BuzzSugar]
I know we've asked you this before, but who do you see as Becky? (I can definitely see Rachel Bilson, but also, of course, Reese Witherspoon.)

I think Becky should be played by an unknown British actress, the use of Americans in brit books is getting old. There are plenty of talented actresses in this country for them to choose from. They should definately let Sophie Kinsella have a huge say in casting.

Luke has got to be played by Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (from Bend it like Beckham).
Good to look at, and would be good with the comedy.
And either Emily Blunt or someone unknown for Becky.

As long as it isn't Keira Knightley, I'm good with it! Man, I'm tired of that girl. We American's are wondering if there actually are other British actresses out there!

I agree with Laura - Emily Blunt would be my top pick for "Becky" ... Or even Martine McCutcheon from Love Actually. I would love Michael Vartan to plan "Luke" but a fresh face British actor would be even better...
What about "Suze"?? I think Cat Deely would be PERFECT for that role!
