Jill5We've got a new regular reviewer to introduce you to. Inspirational or Christian chick lit is one of the new big sub-genres, massive in the US, but not so much in the UK. I've read one book that falls into the genre - Chocolate Beach by Julie Carobini - but it's not something I would generally seek out.

Jill Hart is the founder of Christian Work at Home Moms, CWAHM.com and the host of the internet radio shows, Christian Work at Home Moment and CWO Talk Radio. She lives in Nebraska with her husband and their two children and will our inspirational chick lit chick, so I thought I'd ask her some questions by way of introduction.

Favourite chick lit book?

The Restorer by Sharon Hinck. It's the first book in a series of inspirational fantasy chick-lit books. It's so unique and it totally captivated me. I guess I love to live in fantasy land. :)

Favourite chick lit author?

I'm not sure I can pick just one, but if you're going to make me, I'm going to go with Marilynn Griffith. Her inspirational chick-lit has powerful characters who accomplish amazing things. Her books always make me glad I'm a chick!

Favourite fictional heroine?

My favorite heroine is Freddie in Miss Invisible by Laura Jensen Walker. She is hysterically funny and inspiring as well.

Favourite non-chick lit book?

Another favorite genre of mine is historical fiction. My favorite book from this genre would have to be All The Tea In China by Jane Orcutt. Ms. Orcutt passed away recently and this book serves as a beautiful tribute to both her life and writing career.
