Since I'm kind of obsessed with book covers and book cover art, I thought I'd make it a regular item.
So each Thursday I'll post about either a particularly beautiful cover, an especially bad cover, book cover snap or (my primary fixation) US vs UK covers (nominations gratefully received!).
This week, Alice Sebold's The Almost Moon. The cover on the left is the US cover and I love it. Carry on over the cut for the UK cover.
I think this looks like a scientific non-fiction book rather than a novel (or a Sci-fi novel at a push).
It's striking, but I wouldn't cross the bookshop to pick it up, like I would with the American version.
What do you think?
