BOOK NEWS: The WAG's Diary by Alison Kervin
There was much excitement in the comments when we mentioned this book way back in February and now - finally - it'll be out on the 15th October!
It's the story of Tracie Martin, Luton Town FC's longest-serving WAG, whose husband Dean has kept her in raccoon hair extensions and quilted Chanel bags for 12 years.
Tracie is horrified to see that WAG standards have started slipping and sets out to share her WAGdom wisdom by writing the definitive rulebook on life as a WAG ("WAGS can be orange, they can be caramel, but they CANNOT be white.")
Sounds like fun (or is it too true to be truly funny?).

WAG'S DIARY
This book was brilliant. I loved it. There were parts of it that were so funny that I couldn't quite believe it. I loved Nell and the old people in the old people's home. I loved the idea of Dean's career slipping away, and Tracie trying to build him up, and I just loved all the funny moments - the hair in the car door, her cooking efforts, losing Gladys in the middle of London. All briliiant. Most of all, though, I loved Tracie Martin - I thought she was a genius comic character. Please tell me they are going to make a film of this. Fab!!!!!!!! PS I love this site!
