MOVIE MAGIC: Size 12 Is Not Fat
Yes, it may seem that since I discovered that Meg Cabot reads this blog, I have become kind of obsessed with her, but that's just plain wrong. I was obsessed with her before.
That aside, it usually takes me ages to think of a book for Movie Magic, but this week Size 12 Is Not Fat sprung immediately to mind and so I'm going with it. Although I don't know why since none of you seem particularly interested in casting imaginary movies with me. No, I'm not sulking. Much.
Anyway. Heather Wells, hero of Size 12, Size 14 Is Not Fat Either and the forthcoming Big Boned - who should play her in a movie version? I'm thinking Jennifer Garner. You?

I don't think Hollywood has got any size 12 actresses...

Erk! Aren't I dim, I didn't even think of that. And it's a British size 12, so it's a US 16, which means ... I can't think of anyone.

They'll have to do what Rene did for Bridget Jones

Well I'm sticking with Jennifer Garner. I think she wants another baby so she can pile on a bit of beef for that :)

Jennifer is a healthy woman, but I'm thinking someone even more "normal" than she is.
I saw Neverwhere not too long ago, and Laura Fraser has an interesting look, and I'd like to see her in a more comedic role. What about her?

I didn't know the name, Coleen, but I've looked her up and realised she was in Talk To Me ... and I found her incredibly irritating.
I really can't think of a size 12/16 actress. There must be some!

Sara Ramirez is totally gorgeous, and a US 12. And as much as I love Jen Garner, I'd love to see Sara in more stuff.
Sara Rue's (yes, another Sara) a size 8/10, but I think she'd be great as Heather.

I thought of Sara Rue, Amanda, but I thought she'd got skinny, she was certainly skinnier than an 8/10 last time I saw her.
Yes, Sara Ramirez would be great. Good thinking! :)

I think Jennifer Garner wouldn't be right for Heather at all...Drew Barrymore is probably the best suggestion...Heather needs to be played by someone bubbly.

I just finished reading this book yesterday and I also thought it would make such a great movie!
I agree with Drew Barrymore as Heather, she'd be great. Or maybe America Ferrera?
And while I was reading the book, I kept thinking Cooper really reminded me of Jared Padalecki - from Supernatural. He could play him. :)

The actress has to be blonde b/c Heather Wells is blonde....Although I love those other actresses, Sara R couldn't pull off the blonde...

As far as Cooper, what about Paul Rudd? When he has a little bit of the unshaved look, he'd be perfect

I totally agree with it being America Ferrera. Make her wear a blonde wig or dye her hair and she'd be perfect! For Cooper I would think someone pretty muchure, I just can't think of anyone at the moment. Again, I could seriously picture America Ferrera doing that role though.
