TV & MOVIE NEWS: Meg Cabot

It's possible that Meg Cabot is trying to take over the world. Not satisfied with writing books faster than I can read them, she's selling TV and movie rights left, right and centre too. Television rights to Avalon High have been purchased by the Disney channel, and the TV rights to How To be Popular have been sold to MTV. Plus there might also be a Mediator movie. How cool is that? Oh my goodness! Is that the real Meg Cabot? I&#39m astounded. I love your books!

I read this blog every day too. I wish it was my job to write posts for it! *sighs wistfully*

  • Not the world! Just girl-oriented media. And only because I&#39m trying to get the girls (and guys) to realize that they can&#39t just sit around to wait for some prince (or vampire, or otherwise other-worldly man figure) to rescue them. They have to rescue themselves. And honestly I think this rush of film interest is due to the success of the High School Musical franchise. I just sold the film rights to Queen of Babble as well. It&#39s crazy! But girl-oriented properties are selling again--AMEN!

Love your site, it&#39s such a pick-me-up every day. Keep up the great work!

    Love, Meg
