MOVIE MAGIC: Decent Exposure

Sarah's just read and enjoyed Phillipa Ashley's Decent Exposure and Phillipa's emailed us with some exciting news.

The TV/movie the rights have been optioned by Fox, which is part of 20th Century Fox. If they go ahead with the project, Phillipa says, it seems most likely it is going to be a TV movie. A writer/producer has been assigned, but no casting news as yet.

So any suggestions? Who do you think would be good for the heroine, Emma? And what about "Mr July"?

Fab news - fantastic book.

I have one of the girls from Smack The Pony - Sally Phillips - in my head for Emma (she was the blonde pal Shazza in Bridget Jones and she cracks me up). She was the Emma in my head as I read it.

Gerry Butler is my fave pick for Mr July. Though I think Matthew Mcfadyen could do it justice too. And wouldn&#39t complain at Clive Owen - yummy all round.

I know Will wasn&#39t based on Mr. Thornton from &#39North and South&#39, but he was still the inspiration. I can&#39t help agreeing with Maggie that it would complete some kind of circle if Richard Armitage were to play Mr. July!

This is such exciting news! Since I&#39m currently hopelessly in lust with the gorgeous Clive Owen, I nominate him for the part of Will (it has nothing to do with me secretly hoping to see him in the buff as Mr July *cough cough*)

I&#39m sorry I can&#39t think of who could play Emma, except to say if Clive lands the Will role I would be insanely jealous of her!!!

I agree with Maggie, I loved this book and thought Richard Armitage would be a perfect Will (Mr July). Gerry Butler would be a pretty good second choice though. For the heroine I think that maybe Rosamond Pike?

This is an exciting idea. I loved this book, and laughed and cried with its hero and heroine. I do agree with Phillipa that Sarah Parish would be good for the heroine, or perhaps Keeley Hawes. And my first choice for Will, without any doubt, would be the delicious Richard Armitage!
