NaNoWriMo - I, er, missed it

Catwriter_004So tomorrow is the last day of November and NaNoWriMo has completely passed me by. Thank goodness I wasn't trying to compete this year because no doubt I'd only have a couple of thousand words. Seriously (and I know I say this every year) where did November go?

So how did you all get on with National Novel Writing Month? Are you on course to type "The End" tomorrow? Have you finished already? Did you give up? Will you do it again next year? (I think I will. At least when I've got 1667 words to type each day, I actually *notice* November!)

Let us know.

NaNoWriMo - I, er, missed it - Comments

  • Hi Keris, nice to meet you too. I am totally addicted to this site now.

I wrote to 50K last night and I&#39m really happy with the result of nanowrimo. I plan on adding 20K more to the current count, and shaving some of the less wonderful prose down.

My one liner for the book before I wrote it was:

A college graduate leaves Canada to pursue a software job in London, only to find herself entangled in a love affair that could end her budding career.

Somehow after writing the book, I think I should change that a bit, because there are a lot of other things happening, but I will leave it at that for now. ;)

Now that NaNo is over, I can read again. Talk to you later!

  • Yay! Congratulations, everyone. Even if you haven&#39t finished, you&#39ve still got more than you had at the beginning of the month and that&#39s the main thing.

Nice to "meet" you, Nathalie! Glad you like the site and I&#39d love to hear more about your book - it sounds right up our street.

  • Phyllis

It was my first year and I won - I even finished a few days ago. Now, I actually have to finish the the book and go back and change everything and then in a few years, maybe it will be publishable ;)

  • Did it again this year and won...I am so psyched. 2 out of 3 of my Nano novels since 2003 have been published...I love the concept, the pressure, and actually finished ahead of schedule this year.

  • I&#39m at 45k and trying to finish! This is my second attempt last year I copped out at 12k or so...
