YAY OR NAY WEDNESDAY
A very straightforward Yay or Nay this week (since I'm disappointed you obviously didn't share my distaste of the OJ Simpson book).
This is the cover of the third book in Hester Browne's Little Lady series (after The Little Lady Agency and Little Lady, Big Apple). Now, I know lovely Hester reads Trashionista, so I don't want to be unduly harsh, but ... is that supposed to be Melissa Romney-Jones?! It looks more like Sarah Harding from Girls Aloud. I don't like it. At all.
But what do you think? The new Little Lady cover - Yay or Nay and Why?
[Don't forget it's Yay or Nay day at Hippyshopper, Bridalwave, Dollymix, Corrie Blog, Catwalk Queen, Kiss and Makeup, The Bag Lady, Shoewawa and Shiny Shiny, too!]

Gotta go with the Nay on this one - totally does not fit Melissa or the series.

Nay! This cover-girl would be the antagonist Melissa hates.

I definitely like the cover, but I don't think it suits the books which are brilliant and witty. I really liked the cover of the Little Lady Agency. This one makes me think of a call-girl memoir. Sorry.

nay! i def. didn't picture her like this at alllll. melissa/honey to me, would look more inviting and sweeter and classy. btw i thought the new book was called "little lady and the prince?"

Hi Kaity. Yes, that was the original title, but it's been changed. Interesting that they've dropped the "Little Lady" too. I wonder if they're trying to make this one seem like it's not part of the series...

Unlike Melissa, I am not a huge fan of disguise/wigs so I won't pretend to be an anonymous insider...am happy to admit to being Hester's very proud agent. This cover has been changed and the book won't be published til end May. It's worth waiting for, trust me. The title was not changed to disguise the book's place in the series. I am not sure I remember why we did it but I think there was an idea that 'The Little Lady and the Prince' which is what they are going with in the US might come over a bit tweenie here. By the way if you are a fan of snowglobes on jackets I think the US jacket for Little Lady, Big Apple is difficult to surpass: http://www.amazon.com/Little-Lady-Apple-Hester-Browne/dp/1416541543/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1196338614&sr=8-1

Thanks, Lizzy! And everyone else! (I'll be writing about this again.)
