51v8cejsal_ss500_A Trashionista reader emailed to recommend Rebecca Flowers' book (thanks, Paulette!) and, as I saw the cover, I literally went, "Ohhhhhhhhh." Isn't it gorgeous?

The plot seems a bit convoluted to summarise here - so read it on Amazon - but it's basically an updated Sense & Sensibility. But I did want to mention one of the Amazon reviews:

"The story encompasses more than girl-stuff.  It's life-stuff."

Um. Am I wrong to be offended by this?

I get what the reviewer is *trying* to say - not just dresses and shoes, I suppose - but what I hear is "girl-stuff isn't important - this book is so good, even men (who are clearly more discerning) would like it too!"
