BOOK NEWS: Something Good

41z6zxcgeel_sl500_aa240_I'm confused. I know, it doesn't take much, but I really think I must be missing something here and I'm hoping there's a Trashionista reader that can help me out.

I just spotted this book - Something Good by Fiona Gibson - on the Red Dress Ink site. I immediately assumed it was the US version of Ms Gibson's latest UK title, Mummy Said the F-Word, but, no - the blurb's completely different.

So then I guessed it was simply the US version of one of her older titles. I checked on Amazon, but, again, doesn't sound like it.

Finally, I went to Fiona Gibson's website ... and found no mention of a book called Something Good or any other book like it.

So now I'm sitting here with a frowny little groove between my eyebrows hoping someone can put me out of my misery. Anyone? Bueller?

BOOK NEWS: Something Good - Comments

  • Go on, do it! We want to know :o)

  • I did suspect that it might be YA, but it&#39s not a very YA cover (also Red Dress Ink isn&#39t a YA imprint).

It just seems odd that she&#39s got two coming out around the same time. If you look at her book list she&#39s not *that* prolific.

It makes me wonder if it&#39s a book that didn&#39t get a UK publisher.

I suppose I could always email her and ask...

  • I checked on the Fantastic Fiction website too, and it&#39s out in April. It&#39s about a 15-year old girl, so maybe it&#39s a foray into YA fiction. Odd that it&#39s not mentioned on her website anywhere, though.

  • Robin

It is listed on this site as "new and forthcoming" -- http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/g/fiona-gibson/

  • No! I checked that too!
