I read the book and loved it! Based on the covers, I&#39m voting for the hardback US version. The book I have is that cover and it looks so much better in real life - the internet pics do it no justice!

Way to go, Katherine, and can&#39t wait for another book!

A-ha! You see, I didn&#39t just want to say "The UK cover is rubbish" again. But, obviously, it is.

I too found it hard to choose between the two US covers, but I plumped for the plate.

What a great poll! I am the author of The Bright Side of Disaster, and I&#39m completely stumped. I love the duckie--that retro aqua color, the font, the simplicity and boldness and brightness of it. But I also love the U.S. paperback. The image relates really well to the story. I think the colors of it look better on the actual book--warmer and more inviting. Brighter. I love them both and feel so grateful to have two such awesome covers for my book.

The cover with the plate and the mess may be more on-point (personally, I don&#39t think the UK cover is a contender), however the colors and shapes of the US duckie hardcover grab attention and hold it long enough to read the title, which is the hook. I find the plate cover to be too dull in color-tone and shapes to draw attention, thus gaining notice for the title.

Oh, the US paperback -- the one with the plate -- is best by MILES! The UK cartoon just looks so generic and tired and obvious. And the US hardback looks like a kids book!
