BOOK NEWS: Got You Back
I loved Jane Fallon's debut, Getting Rid of Matthew, so how excited was I to see that her next book is out in August? Very.
James never intended to lead a secret double life - with a wife in London and a mistress in the country, he's enjoying the best of both worlds. But all that's about to change. Wife Stephanie isn't really snooping when she finds a text message signed with three kisses from 'K' on her husband's mobile (it's an accident). But how can she ignore it? It's time to track down this 'K' and find out the truth.
Katie has no reason to think her boyfriend, James, is playing away. Until his wife gets in contact and Katie's suddenly the other woman...After an awkward meeting fuelled by several drinks, Stephanie and Katie decide not to get mad but to get even. So they hatch a plan - to teach James a lesson he'll never forget. But revenge isn't always sweet. And what happens when one woman thinks enough is enough but the other doesn't know when to stop?

Come on, Kerris - we're all waiting for a comment about the poor, unfortunate truncated woman on the cover. You know, I didn't use to pay much attention to book covers - at least not consciously - but now I'm fascinated by them and find myself constantly second-guessing whoever makes these decisions. Thanks for adding a new compulsion to my life.

LOL, Tami! I barely even notice it anymore, so many covers are like this now. It's just the new(ish) thing, isn't it? Used to be legs, now it's headless women.
There is a reason they don't put faces on covers - readers like to picture their own characters and not have their imaginations dictated to. I don't think it's any more sinister than that...
