BOOK NEWS: Loose Girl
Am I getting old or is the title, the tagline and the cover of this book disturbing?
As you know, I'm not wild about all the sex memoirs that have been springing up lately over the last couple of years, but this one seems a step too far to me. What do you think?

I really don't like it. Seems designed to shock, with the 'innocent' white panties and all. No need.

The US cover isn't nearly as provocative and doesn't include the "anorexia...drugs...sex" line. It has a black-and-white shot of a teen girl and the sub-title "A Memoir of Promiscuity". I definitely found the UK cover disturbing, but them I KNOW I'm getting old. :) It would require further investigation before I allowed my daughter to read it.

I definitely don't like it. for those who feel they're getting old, I'm only 21, and i find the the cover, title, and tagline disturbing. In my opinion, it's very unfortunate that teenagers today are so comfortable and open with sex.
