Rose Tremain wins Orange Prize...
... and no-one is the least bit surprised.
Yes, the long-time favourite Rose Tremain has won this year's Orange Prize for Fiction with The Road Home.
I'd hope Patricia Wood's wonderful Lottery might take it, but it wasn't to be. Still, I haven't actually read The Road Home, so that might be wonderful too. Anyone read it?

I haven't read any Rose Tremain but I've been a bit obsessed with her today because I saw her photo and I was amazed to read she is a woman in her 60s.
Blimey, writing must be very good for her.

Yeah, she's a very young looking 60 year old! That's impressive.

I loved Restoration, Stella, but I haven't read any of her others. She's very beautiful, isn't she?

She is very beautiful.
Is it terribly superficial to want to read something she's written now I know that?
