I'm sorry to keep harping on about Judy Blume, but I've become a bit fascinated by her. I knew she was popular and had been for years, but until reading Everything I Needed to Know... I hadn't realised quite how influential or how groundbreaking she was and, presumably, still is!
Plus I was intrigued when commenter Avablue14 picked Blume's adult book, Wifey, as one of the books to give her a "special" feeling. I hadn't heard of Wifey before, but I'm surely going to read it now.
Also Trashi reader Paula commented that the new cover of Judy Blume's Forever "looks like it's copying all the chick-lit 'leg' covers", but the Wifey cover above is from 1998. Is this the first "legs" cover, do you think? Could this be the one that started it all?
The cover on the right is the new, more chick litty, version of Wifey from 2005 and, as you can see, they're still going with "legs"!
