Breaking Dawn - what do you think?

Breaking_dawnAfter I posted the news about Breaking Dawn's huge sales yesterday, Val left a comment saying some people were so disappointed with the book they were burning them. So I researched it, and I have to say never before in my (admittedly short) career as a writer about books, have I come across so much anger with a book or an author (Stephenie Meyer).

There are forums up on Amazon discussing it and the idea now seems to be that instead of burning them they should all return them instead. Now I haven't read any of the Twilight series, yet, but I am interested to see what any of you thought about the final book. Anyone read it?

Breaking Dawn - what do you think? - Comments

gosh, people are sooo hard to please...

i think that breaking dawn has a lot of action.like the other books, except in the end..where if u wanted action,it would end tragically:))...and then, yes i would understand to be disapointed

but,the main thing in this book,isn&#39t the action itself,it&#39s how the problmes that all of them have to rezolve, change them...and fulfill all their necesities, and dreams...and how they work togheter, leaving all their arguments behind

don&#39t u see that bella, who was scared of marriage, and family, and was really naive and fragile, has become stronger

rosalie changed, jasper, and the wolves, billy all of them.....

and plus..if u want action read an action book...this books are suposed to reveal a true love,an imposible love that has a happy ending, the "Action" here is the happy moments between them, their necesities, dreams theit fears just to protect the ones they love

and how bella and edward(and the other couples but especially them) praise the special moments that they spent togheter

and about "the love" between reneesme and jacob..i don&#39t know what u understand by that...but,jacob thinks of reneesme as,a godess,he doesn&#39t care if she will love him or not,if they will marry or not...he doesn&#39t event think about that,,,he just thinks about her happiness...

and yes, when u read the book and finish it,...u feel disapointed because,it&#39s a special story, you want to happen so much moree in it,(even if u don&#39t know what) u just want to,know more about their life,,"yes, they live hapilly ever after....wait!? tthat&#39s all? but they have the eternity for them...and u just end it here...?" i think that it&#39s the disapoiment u should feel....

yes..it was waaay better if stephenie had written a short end not just for edward and bella...but.anyways..the book was..really good

p.s even if u don&#39t like a book...to burn it? comm&#39on:)) the book it&#39s really good...the one who acts like that it&#39s the one with the problem:)) and thing about stephenie...it&#39s her work...u don&#39t write a story like this so.amazing,so easily...it takes time..and...it won&#39t be perfect..never...so..:)) if u burn it..you&#39re loose...:)) (and your money)

i love all the twilight series because

    1) The charaters

    2) The romance between edward and bella( it was soo sweet but i think edward can do a little better)

    3) It was really god ( the story)

i&#39ve just finished eclispe and i thought it was quite good( better than new moon)

i&#39m soo excited...i really wanna read Breaking Dawn.

I got into the twilight books a little after anyone else. I really loved the books, and began to imagine myself as Bella. It made me feel as if anyone other than Edward wasn&#39t enough. I was really disapointed that jacob imprinted on renesmme, it felt like a betrayal somehow.

I wished SM had paid more attention to detail though. And also aould love to have all of the series written frpm edward&#39s perspective.

I&#39m lookin 4wd to the films n will buy them for definate. As always when i get into a good book, i&#39m left wanting more...

i do think it should of been made into more then one book.maybe two ?

it wasnt what i expected at all , it was sort of like it was written by someone else as a saga.

but i did like it , mainly , i think, because i was already attached to the charecters (especially edward haha). it was great but i think people dont like it because compared to the other three , which were sensational , it wasnt as good.

i do think it was rushed , it should have been dragged out more .

i think it made sense for jacob to impront on renesmee , but i liked it that there was a triangle between edward bella and jacob . this just dissapeared in breaking dawn.

is there going to be another one ?

ps. i do love the book dont get me wrong.

Ok. for one i absolutley loved the book! (after watching the movie i went out read breaking dawn then from there on i read the other 3 books.) Except i hated #3 with the fact that they brought Jacob into the equation....

It actually pissed me off so much that i couldn&#39t sleep the entire night. but i was happy that i read the last book first for the fact that i knew that it would end exactly how i wanted it to :)

    ....

BTW i actually cried when i read about bellaa & jacob (kissing & her being in love with him) i felt so bad for edward & i was pissed off at bella for going to jacob....
