It seems a little incongruous that India Knight has written a book on thrifty living; while I adored her book on shopping - The Shops - it was totally indulgent and aspirational.
The Thrift Book, on the other hand, promises to teach readers how to "live well and spend less" and includes tips on making your own jam, sewing your own clothes and finding cheap holidays.
Every time I hear those two medium-sized words beginning with "c" and "c", it makes me want to stab myself in the head, but I guess that situation will also make this book a big seller.
If you can afford to buy it, that is. It's out in November.
