BOOK COVERS: Catriona McCloud

I've mentioned Catriona McCloud's disappointing covers before, but they were the covers of the hardback (or, more like, large format paperback). Look:

Completely blah, right? Well, check out the small paperback covers over the cut.

Much better, yes? I mean, I don't adore them, but they're a great improvement on the originals, don't you think?

I have to say, I&#39m not wild about the new covers either, but I do think they&#39re a vast improvement on the originals. They&#39re just boring. And they look very 90s. And like the designers just couldn&#39t be bothered to put any effort in. Apart from that, they&#39re fine ;)

I love the original cover of "Growing Up Again". It reminds me of myself as a teenager - staring down at my feet, trying desperately to think of something fascinating to say to him.

I think the new covers are a mess.

Hmm, I think I also like the orginal covers better. Maybe because of all the blue.

Oh, I think the new ones are *much* better! I&#39d definitely ignore the original cover for Straight Up, it looks so cheap and nasty, and generic. x
