MOVIE NEWS: Sex And The City - the sequel

Sex_and_the_city_3Sex And The City - the sequel could begin filming as early as next year, if Kim Cattrall's remarks on The Paul O'Grady Show are to be believed. She has said we will do a sequel next summer but that it is difficult getting everybody who's so incredibly busy all together at the same time.  [via BBC]

I would love to see another movie with all the girls, yet part of me also thinks they drew a line underneath it all with the last one. What do you think?

  • A character&#39s story doesn&#39t end just because she gets married. I expect the girls to evolve in their relationships, struggle with their partnerships, their careers, the raising of their children, but always falling back on their friendships to get them through. The series and movie were less about finding love than about the love they all shared for each other and how together they can make the most of their lives.

Not really. They&#39re all getting old. How many times can you do the same stuff before the theme gets old? Single girls finding their way in life and love. Its just old.

They&#39re all married or partnered up by now. I enjoyed the movie because I thought it was a nice way of wrapping up their stories. If they make a 2nd movie, I think Samantha should go back with her old bf because really, who wants to be alone in their old age?

If they want to keep the series then they should get new actresses and put the girls in their teens or 20s.

  • As long as the writing is still funny and the characters are still true to their roots, I will watch whatever they produce! I&#39m prepared to turn old and grey right along with them!
