Twitter fiction?

After reading that renowned author Neil Gaiman (Stardust, Coraline) was taking part in 'Twitter fiction', I had to check it out. It seems as though an array fo Twitter users are writing stories in no more than the 140 characters that Twitter allows.

Check out twitterfiction to see what the world of microbloggers is submitting. A story in 140 characters? Seemingly it can be done, and done well! (There have even been Twitter writing contests).
