Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol is currently number one in the book charts, having sold 58,468 copies this week. According to The Bookseller, Brown's book sold 2,546 more copies than Guiness World Records 2010, which came second place.
The Lost Symbol has now sold 1,222,780 to date - thus smashing the hardback fiction record. Last year, JK Rowling's Tales of Beedle The Bard gained the top spot in the book charts.
