NEWS: Richard and Judy launch their own book club

richardandjudy.JPGRichard Madeley and Judy Finnigan will soon be launching their own book club, following news that Channel 4 will be launching a new show...without them.

According to the Telegraph, Richard and Judy will be launcing their own club, which will be promoted on their website and in magazine columns.

Said Richard: "We should see the first of our recommended reads in bookshops next year. All copies will be clearly marked as recommended by us and prominently featured in bookshops all over the country."

The couple decided to launch their own club after their former Channel 4 producer Amanda Ross announced that she was launching TV Book Club - a new show comprising of famous names including Jo Brand, Gok Wan and Laila Rouass. The show is due to begin next month on More4.

Amanda Ross said: We're thrilled to be bringing the Book Club back and to have a home on More4," said Ross, who is the sister-in-law of Jonathan Ross. "Publishers, libraries and retailers have all provided invaluable support, which is set to continue to create a whole new wave of star authors."
