YAY OR NAY: Katherine Heigl as Stephanie Plum?

If you hadn't already heard, the first book in Janet Evanovich's hugely popular Stephanie Plum series is due to be adapted into a movie. One for the Money, which introduces feisty lingerie buyer turned bounty hunter Stephanie, is set to star Katherine Heigl (Grey's Anatomy, The Ugly Truth) as the lead role, accoring to the New York Daily News.

The casting Dept is going to have hard time casting these stereotypes they see them as actors we see them as characters so we need to have some leway but as long as Steve Buscemi is Vinnie I'm good

I think it should have been Amanda Peet. She looks like Stephanie Plum (well, her hair is straight, but otherwise) and she can do comedy. When I heard Katherine Heigl I was shocked.

I could not believe Kathryn Heigl was cast as Stephanie Plum. HORRIBLE choice. Se should have stuck to Grays Anatomy......

Jason Omara as morelli? i dont get this one either. Did the casters not read the books?!?!?!?!

Nay! I'm so upset over this. As with everyone else who has posted I too love Stephanie and have a picture of her in my mind. Katherine Heigl is not a good choice! How about Rachel McAdams from the Wedding Crashers?

Also not happy about the other choices for the characters. I think the only one that may work so far is Debbie Reynolds as Grandma Mazur.
