Just when you thought there couldn't possibly be any more vampire movies (or TV. Or books, for that matter!), along comes another addition to the genre that doesn't seem to want to stop. It's recently been revealed that film rights have been acquired for Richelle Mead's bestselling Vampire Academy novels.According to ComingSoon, Preger Entertainment has gained the rights.
The Vampire Diaries series is described as being a 'coming of age, action-driven paranormal fantasy.' Penguin/Razorbill has requested a spin-off series to begin in 2011, once the main series of novels has ended. The final book will be released in December.
