A number of authors, including Lionel Shriver, Joanna Trollope, Kate Figes and Fiona Kirk, are due to appear at the Hampstead & Highgate Literary Festival this weekend.
The Festival, which will take place once again in Ivy House, Anna Pavlova's former home, in Golders Green, from Sunday 19th - Tuesday 21st September, is organised and hosted by the London Jewish Cultural Centre (LJCC) in partnership with the Ham&High newspaper and sponsored by BDO. With 50 different talks and workshops to choose from, there's something to interest everyone.
A spokesman for the LJCC said 'Since the Festival website went live on 1st July we have already taken over 1,700 bookings. We are delighted by the show of public interest in the Festival and grateful for the support of our media partners, the Ham&High, our sponsors and the enthusiastic response of the publishers and authors we approached. Our aim is to become a permanent fixture on the London literary calendar.'
Book sales and signings will be held after each event by Daunt Books.
