antimodel2.jpgNicky Schmidt's quirky chick-lit tales remain Trashi favourites, so we were delighted to find that the synopsis for her next novel, titled The Anti-Model Agency, has been revealed. The book is due for publication in November and this time Nicky steps away from near-homelessness (Naked in Knightsbrigdge) and hilarious posh family affairs (Marrying Out of Money) and enters the glamorous world of modelling. Only there's one big difference...

Denise 'D' Harris' life has followed the typical 'rags to riches' path. From being headhunted in front of her local chippie at 15, she climbs her way to the top of the commercial modelling world, supported by London's premier agent. However, a combination of bad luck, a world-famous patisserie and the recession lead to a spectacular fall from her goddess-like status. Bitter and determined to make her agent suffer, D sets about bringing down the largest model agency in the world - by making the product they push - thin, gorgeous, tall teenagers - as unfashionable as a shell-suit in Harrods.
