The Romantic Novelists' Association has changed its awards and unveiled a new brand identity, it was reported in The Bookseller.
The Pure Passion Awards will now be known as the RoNAs, with the five award categories as follows: Contemporary Romantic Novel, Epic Romantic Novel, Historical Romantic Novel, Romantic Comedy Novel and Young Adult Romantic Novel. The Love Story of the Year Award will now be known as the RoNA Rose and will be awarded along with the Harry Bowling Prize for new writing.
The Awards have also been given a new logo. RNA president Katie Fforde said the logo was: 'bright, simple, versatile and memorable". She said: "Together with our new-look RoNA awards, we hope it will help bring the Romantic Novelists' Association to the forefront of the minds of everyone involved in the industry."
