Sex and the City
Sex and the City has gained an absolutely huge following since Candace Bushnell's book about journalist Carrie Bradshaw and her fashionable city friends was adapted into a TV series in the late 90s. Due to its success, the Sex and the City movie was released in 2008, with the sequel, Sex and the City 2, following in 2010. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davies brought Bushnell's New York party girls to life, and the prequel to the books, The Carrie Diaries, has already been snapped up by US TV channel The CW.
